Dr Liezl Stockigt – A Short Bio

I like my work.  That said – I am straight forward and to the point which some patients find hard to manage.  Karoo Occupational Health is part of the practice and started in 2019 when I started the Post Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health at UCT.  I am also a DAME – designated aviation medical examiner working with SACAA to keep our pilots healthy and our skies safe.  Mrs Nadia du Toit is our exceptional receptionist who is trained to do lung functions, vision screening and hearing tests.  The practice also has a Skin Health clinic and Mrs Hanneli Strydom, our somatologist runs Skin Health @Prickly Pear.

I am not my work – I enjoy weekends off, love camping, spending time in our garden with my partner and our dogs.  I love reading though I have little time for it at present.  I did a Bonsai course but might have killed my first Bonsai tree.  While working abroad I spent some time in England and Italy and France.  South America is still on the Bucket list as is the Migration in Kenya.
